Season 3 continues with our second set of doppelganger movies. This week we have the Pierce Brosnan vehicle Dante’s Peak facing off against the Tommy Lee Jones lead Volcano. Both movies came out in the early part of 1997 and featured dormant volcanoes that became active and threatened people in various locales.
In Volcano, Tommy Lee Jones is aided by Anne Heche as he tries to save the city of Los Angeles from molten lava. Meanwhile, Linda Hamilton assists Pierce Brosnan as they both try to save the small town of Dante’s Peak from the volcano it built underneath. Who decided to build a town there? We’ll never know, but we WILL know which is the better movie after they face off this week. Listen to find out which one takes it home.
