We’re back, baby! Season Three is here! And we’ve changed things up this season. You made have noticed we are now DUAL of the Greats. Why is that you ask? Wonderful question! Instead of putting one director against another we are going straight to the movies themselves. Forget about the directors! We’re putting doppelganger movies against each other. What’s a doppelganger movie? Another excellent question! It’s a set of two movies that are released within 12 months of each other and have a very similar plot/premise.Â
As an example, we have our week 1 matchup which is mabe the most famous of the doppelganger movie phenomenon: Armageddon vs. Deep Impact. Both movies came out in the year 1998 and both movies are about how society reacts when they find out that an asteroid/comet is coming towards Earth. How does each movie handle this topic?
